About the Temple

Chamatkari Shri Hanuman Mandir, located in Jamsawli village of Sausar Tehsil in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, is a revered temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. This sacred site is renowned for its unique idol and miraculous occurrences that draw devotees from far and wide.
The temple features a distinctive 15-foot-long idol of Lord Hanuman in a reclining posture, believed to be self-manifested. According to local legends, the idol was originally in a standing position but miraculously lay down to prevent theft by intruders attempting to move it. A continuous stream of water flows from the idol’s navel, which devotees believe possesses medicinal properties, particularly effective in curing skin ailments. Many visitors collect this water, considering it a sacred remedy.
The temple holds significant spiritual importance, with many devotees visiting to seek relief from mental distress and negative influences. It is believed that worshiping here can provide solace and fulfillment. The serene environment, coupled with the continuous chanting of Hanuman Chalisa, creates an atmosphere of deep faith and devotion.
Recognizing its spiritual prominence, the Madhya Pradesh government initiated the development of ‘Hanuman Lok’ at the temple site. This project aims to enhance the temple’s infrastructure, including the construction of an entrance plaza, parking facilities inspired by Marathwada architecture, and other amenities to accommodate the increasing number of devotees.
The temple’s rich history, coupled with its miraculous occurrences and ongoing development, continues to attract devotees seeking spiritual solace and divine blessings.
