Considering the ever-growing number of devotees and their faith, the Government of Madhya Pradesh along with temple trust has undertaken the ambitious Hanuman Lok Project, inspired by the globally admired Mahakal Lok of Ujjain.
The project is being developed across approximately 30 acres, with an estimated total cost of ₹314 crore, under the guidance of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. This initiative aims to transform our sacred temple complex into a vibrant spiritual and cultural epicenter

🏗️ Project Scope & Phases

March 2023: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan officially announced the Hanuman Lok project, describing it as a major spiritual and tourism initiative.

August 24, 2023: A historic Bhoomipujan was performed by CM Chouhan, with senior officials and trustees marking the beginning of Phase 1.
Phase 1 — Foundation & Core Infrastructure (₹35 Crore):
- Main Entrance Gate and Plaza
- Construction of a grand entrance gate inspired by Maratha-style architecture and a spacious plaza to serve as the primary gateway to Hanuman Lok.
- Chiranjivi Path
- Development of a 500-meter long “Chiranjivi Path” connecting the main entrance to the temple complex. The pathway is being adorned on both sides with sculptures depicting the various forms of Lord Hanuman, along with artistic murals illustrating episodes from his life.
- Supporting Facilities
- Establishment of permanent shops along the pathway, trust office, a food plaza, pilgrim facilitation center, ticket counters, public convenience facilities, and comprehensive landscaping and beautification of the entire complex.
- New bhakt niwas, prasadam center, devotional souvenir store, parking plaza.
- Current Progress
- At present, approximately 85% of the work under Phase 1 has been completed.
Phase 2 — Expansion & Pilgrim Amenities:
In Phase 2, additional facilities will be developed for pilgrims, with an estimated project cost of approximately ₹65.24 crore. The proposed developments include:

Bhakti Sagar, Pravachan Hall, and Yagyashala

Construction of Bhakti Sagar, a Pravachan Hall, and a Yagyashala to support spiritual discourses, religious rituals, and devotional gatherings.

- Parking Facilities
- Development of organized parking facilities to accommodate vehicles of pilgrims and visitors.
- Educational, Dining, and Accommodation Facilities
- Construction of a Sanskrit College, community dining hall, and Dharamshala (pilgrim accommodation) to promote traditional learning and provide comfortable stay for devotees.
- Healthcare, Spiritual, and Cultural Facilities
- Establishment of a Medical Center, Ashta Siddhi Kendra, and an Open-Air Theatre for healthcare services, spiritual enrichment, and cultural performances.
- Environmental and Infrastructure Development
- Development of a Waterfront Pathway along with the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant and a Plastic Waste Management System to ensure environmental sustainability.
- Proposed Garbhagriha Construction
- Proposed construction of the main sanctum (Garbhagriha) by the Temple Trust, symbolizing a harmonious integration of traditional faith and modern infrastructure.
